Injury, aging, and obligations can lock our bodies into a prison of stiffness and pain while our brains race to keep up with a constant stream of exhausting decisions and demands. When you choose to seek a richer life, I'm here to help guide you out of the downward spiral of immobility, inflexibility, and exhaustion and into a life of radiance and freedom of movement. |
My journey |
I came to yoga for stress relief during law school. Luckily, flexibility and gracefulness were not requirements for practice -- only a willingness to try moving the body to calm the mind. Through movement practice, I discovered benefits beyond stress relief: recovering range of motion after car accidents, reducing foot pain from a decades-long love affair with high heels, and occasionally feeling a little more flexible and graceful. Eventually, I left my legal career behind to focus on the benefits of movement and mindfulness for those of us moving into the middle and later stages of our lives. Much of what I learned in my 40s has helped me to move better than I did in my 20s, and that's what I'm passionate about sharing with you!
